Frederick Stecker | DMin, PsyaD

Graduate, Doctor of Psychoanalysis Program

Frederick Stecker is an Episcopal Priest having served over 45 years in parish ministry. A graduate of the University of the South, Dr. Stecker holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Bangor Theological Seminary, before receiving a Doctor of Psychoanalysis in the Study of Violence from the BGSP in 2008. He has served on the board of the BGSP for 15 years concluding his last five years service as chair. He is the author of The Podium, the Pulpit, and the Republicans: How Presidential Candidates Use Religious Language in American Political Debate (Santa Barbara: Preager) 2011, 2015 and I Win, We Lose: The New Social Darwinism and the Death of Love and Other Writings by John Hall Snow (Wipf and Stock: Eugene,OR) 2016 as well as 19 other professional articles. He currently serves as Associate at Emmanuel Church, Newbury Street, Boston and resides in New London, NH and in Cambridge, MA.
