This workshop is geared to the undergraduate psychology major who wants to explore options for employment, graduate school and long-term careers. This event addresses questions such as: How can you make the most out of gap years? What if you want to go on to graduate school? What kind of work does a psychology major do? Does one specialize?
Presenter:
William Sharp, M.A., Psya.D., Cert.Psya. is a psychoanalyst and assistant teaching professor at Northeastern University in Boston. He is on the faculty of the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis where he is the program director of the Master’s in Mental Health Counseling program. He maintains a private practice in Brookline, MA. Dr. Sharp is a much sought-after public speaker and has numerous publications on a variety of psychoanalytic topics, including a book, Talking Helps: An Evidence-Based Approach to Psychoanalytic Counseling. He has presented on what to do with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in a variety of settings, including University Psych. Clubs, in response to the questions and confusion about the mental health field his undergraduate students have had through the years.
