Elizabeth Truslow

Mrs. Truslow received her Master’s in Psychoanalysis from BGSP and is currently pursuing her doctorate at BGSP. “My experiences as a student at BGSP have led me on a journey of exploration of the internal world of mental processes in my own life and in my clinical work. My research is leading me around the world to explore the experiences of other analysts in their work with children with Asperger Syndrome.”

Before studying psychoanalysis, Mrs. Truslow worked in early childhood special education for many years, first in New York City and then in Vermont. While pursuing her doctorate at the Vermont campus, Mrs. Truslow was selected as a Fellow in the Psychoanalytic Research Training Program at the Anna Freud Centre Program at the Yale Child Study Center. There she presented her doctoral research on a psychoanalytic perspective on working with autism, a work in progress and worked with faculty mentors and other fellows on further development of her research ideas.

Mrs. Truslow now has a private practice in St. Johnsbury, VT where she sees children, some with autism, families, adolescents and adults. She also works at the Health and Counseling Service at Lyndon State College.
