Graduate Profiles

Students at BGSP are prepared to apply their psychoanalytic training to a wide variety of populations in a wide variety of settings. Graduates of our programs are employed in mental health agencies, school systems, universities, profit and non-profit organizations, and private practice.

Monica Facusse
Upon completing her Master's Degree in Psychoanalysis at BGSP in August of 2006, Monica Facusse returned to her native country, Honduras. She is currently working along with the Vice President of Honduras, providing services to children with mental disabilities due to malnutrition. MORE>

Max Cavallaro
Upon receiving his Master’s in psychoanalysis at BGSP, Dr. Cavallaro immediately started working at Westwood Lodge Hospital in the partial day programs. His job as a clinician and case manager gave him the opportunity to work individually and in groups with adolescents and their families. MORE>

Elizabeth Truslow
Mrs. Truslow received her Master’s in Psychoanalysis from BGSP and is currently pursuing her doctorate at BGSP. “My experiences as a student at BGSP have led me on a journey of exploration of the internal world of mental processes in my own life and in my clinical work. MORE>

Leila Karam
Ms. Karam is currently the Director of the Adult Partial Psychiatric Hospitalization program at Arbour HRI Hospital, a comprehensive outpatient program serving adults with major mental health issues. As Director, she supervises clinical coordinators and doctoral candidates. MORE>

Claudia Luiz
Claudia Luiz, a graduate of the BGSP Certificate program, has been able to apply her analytic degree to a writing career. She is the author of a weekly column, called Claudia Confidentially, which is published in the health section of the Daily News Transcript. MORE>

Dr. Talvitie
Long before completing his Ph.D. in Engineering at Northwestern University, Dr. Talvitie was interested in Freud’s drive theory and saw its applicability to his line of work. While a visiting professor at MIT, he began to take courses in the BGSP Certificate program. He graduated in 2001. MORE>

Gohar Homayounpour

Barry Waterson

William Sharp
